SIZING
The Tethrd® Phantom® is the result of 2 years of testing and research and development. The patent pending shape and cut means the Phantom® fits waist sizes from 28 inches to 40 inches. If your waist size is up to 36″, you should select the REGULAR. If you are a 36″ and larger, you should select the XL. However this isn’t set in stone. Some hunters with smaller waists, but with a little more “junk in the trunk” like to run the XL version. If you’re on the fence…you may want to size up first. But don’t worry no matter which way you go, we’ll get you sorted out if your size selection doesn’t work out.
COMFORT CHANNELS
The patent pending Comfort Channels™ provide all day, unsurpassed comfort with easy to use high, medium, and low support settings. The Comfort Channels allow simple, one-handed, adjustment for leaning trees, and give you full control over where you need support most. If you like lower back support, move to the “high” Comfort Channel. If you like more support under your seat, move to the “low” Comfort Channel.
UTILIBRIDGE™
In the past hunters had to sacrifice user-friendliness, or accept more weight and bulk, to have a truly on-demand adjustable bridge. LINEMAN LOOPS
The Phantom has re-engineered lineman loops to make them more user friendly and even stronger than ever. The large patent pending lineman loops are easier to find and use in the dark, even with gloves on your hands during the late season. Rest assured the Phantom’s lineman loops will handle anything you can throw at them.
FREEDOM BELT
We upgraded the waist belt on the Phantom to a completely new ultra-wide, ultra-adjustable design. We eliminated the tri-glide adjustment system used on all other Tethrd saddles. This simplified belt makes one-handed belt cinching a breeze. The all-new floating design means you have unlimited positioning options for your buckle. You can position the buckle on your left or right side, or right in the middle of your waist. You can also easily adjust the position for early season or late season settings.
SUSPENSION KIT READY
The Phantom is ready to give you all the support you need. We’ve listened to a lot of saddle hunters who wished there was a suspender option for their saddle. Our brand new Suspension Kit is designed to work seamlessly with the Phantom. When the Mantis came out I was hesitant to buy one, so I waited. I knew there had to be something better coming out. I wanted something that was no bulk or gimmick, comfortable, cool for here in the south, and comfortable. Just as expected, Tethrd revealed the Phantom and I knew right away that this was what I was waiting for. I love how adjustable it is and is more comfortable than I expected. Well thought out saddle for sure. I know they will always strive to make it better, but I believe that it may be a while before they out do this one.

So i bought a Mantis saddle when Tethrd First introduced it to the public. was very hard to get one at that time, fast forward to now tethrd has produced some of the best mobile hunting gear on the market, with that said now they have topped the Mantis with the Phantom . Don’t get me wrong the Mantis is a beast saddle but im older ex military so a lot of aches and pain, this saddle is premium comfort , I used to fall asleep in the mantis this saddle is a lot more comfortable with the new adjustments.

Was real hesitant about getting this saddle. I hunted last yrs deer season out of the mantis and kestrel the mantis is not a bad saddle but just didn’t work for me. I liked the compact design of the mantis over the kestrel so said why not. I got the phantom an was in wow I feel absolutely no pressure what so ever in this saddle when adjusted properly . All the issues I was having with the mantis are non-existing. This will be the saddle I use this coming deer season. Great job on this one!

I’ve saddle hunted for 10 years with an old Trophy Line saddle that always pinched my hips (I’m a thin guy). I had to make a thick pad for it. I just got the Phantom and tried it for about an hour, hanging in the tree and trying all of the adjustments. I’m very impressed with the comfort level, especially when I added the recliner. I really like the rope tether over the strap tether I have been using and the rope bridge is much easier to turn in that the strap one I was using. Thanks for a great product, I can’t wait to hunt in it.

I am new to the saddle game this year and I made the switch this year to be more mobile and I loved the fact of having 360 degrees of shooting around a tree. I have not hunted out of mine yet but I have been practicing with it and it is awesome. I took me about 5 to 10 min to get used to it and trust the equipment, being a person who has mostly hunted out of ladder stands it was a little unnerving to hang out 20 feet over nothing except a small platform. shipping was fast it arrived 2 days early. First impressions were that even the packaging was high end, everything that I ordered was delivered and I have to say I love the made in the U.S.A patch. so first thoughts in a tree, once i learned to trust the harness after 10 min I was very comfortable and was surprised at how easy it is to swing all the way around the tree and feel secure. everything on the saddle and ropes are high end and I can’t wait to hunt out of it this year. I am already in Love with it and don’t foresee me going back to a ladder stand. Last thing I was impressed with is the military discount which I rarely use but I was glad to be able to use in this purchase. I always love supporting companies that give back to our veterans. Will update my review after hunting and logging more hours in the saddle.

Once you purchase a saddle you’re going to be making a lot of other purchases to support this style of hunting. I tend to be more of a minimalist and am all about removing complications. Less gear, less reliance, less room for error. I have had a lot of opportunity hunting on dead fall or a bucket.
The saddle system does have its advantages. I can hunt in places I couldn’t access before. The vantage points are amazing. I’ve gained more flexibility and maneuvering. It offers more camouflage and it’s quiet.
Pros:
It’s comfortable.
More places to hunt.
Amazing perspective on wild game.
More shooting angles.
No hauling and setting up tree stands.
Cons:
It’s expensive.
It takes time to get used to.
Some complications pulling bow back when front facing tree.
Can’t hold bow in lap. I like to be in the ready position most of the time and that’s not really possible with this system.
Tree tether has frayed quite a bit has me concerned.

For my first year hunting in the saddle the entire season, I couldn’t be more happy with how everything went. The Phantom was really comfortable and love the bridge and all adjustments you can make! Not sure how Tethrd is going to improve upon this!

I am new to saddle hunting and was worried about how comfortable this would be for all day sits. I was also worried about the learning curve, but it was simple to use and extremely comfortable. The adjustability with the bridge loops and bridge length is really nice. I honestly have no complaints.

I have had this saddle for a couple of weeks and just finished my first full week hunting in it, here is my opinions. (Note I come from a climbing background so I am probably a little fussier than most people)
Comfort – it is comfy, easy to move around in, walk in and sit in, my only suggestion is it could do with the bottom support that goes under your butt widening slightly, with the tape here being slim it tends to dig a little and isn’t great. If slightly wider tape was used or a little padding under the tape it would avoid this. This only really bothers me after 2-3hrs in the saddle.
Safety- Great simple design I have hung in all positions and at no point did I feel the saddle would come off. Easy to put on and adjust waist buckle is great and they seem very well stitched.
Straps- not a fan of the strap length or management, they are huge so with a 32″ waist I end up with tones of strapping to roll up, I did find a fix for the waist band by back feeding it through the harness which was a bit of a pain. Over all not a fan of this especially compared to my top end rock climbing harnesses.
Weight- it is light very light which is great.
Cost- I don’t think its bad maybe a little high, but, a lot of thought has gone into this and the quality seems very high. For me coming from a climbing background and spending days in a harness I’d like to see a little more comfort implemented into but a mid-top range climbing harness will set you back about the same $’s.
Over all I defiantly would recommend this harness.
